Artistic improvisation practitioners


Norbert Sven Fö is a member of DISCOllective who researches reality in the roles of dancer, performer, choreographer, clown, writer, teacher and producer. These roles can be applied in various formats: performance, installation, practice, improvisation, video, clowning, radio play, publication, workshop, and lecture. Once stationed in Ljubljana, Slovenia, DISCOllective now practices nomadism, working, living and creating in various places around Europe.


Maja Dekleva Lapajne is a director and performer from Ljubljana. Her current projects include 'Underwater', a performative concert on precarious life; 'Along the Walk', an international performing arts project on the topic of deceleration; '4play', a performance focusing on the topic of sex and sexuality through feminist positions; 'Silver Gold', a project where different dance generations meet, exchange memories and create new ones; and 'Life. Refabricated.', a performative and writing practice with Norbert Sven Fö that explores improvisation, revolution and love.


In addition, Bojan Dekleva co-founded the Hearing Voices Project in Slovenia, which started in 2014 and since 2018 has been an independent Slovenian association. He is an author and co-editor of a book on hearing voices entitled 'The World As It Is Heard' (Svet, ki se sliši). 

Prostor - Serbia

Art practitioners


Mina Aleksić is an artist and art therapist, body psychotherapy consultant, Yoga instructor, project coordinator, and one of the founders and president of Prostor and the Balkan Hearing Voices Network. In addition, she is responsible for organising educational activities and promotions. 

As an experienced practitioner in art therapy and community mental health services, she successfully coordinated more than thirty projects within psychiatric institutions and the community. She has also facilitated art workshops for children and vulnerable populations, such as Roma children, victims of human trafficking, people who hear voices and other psychiatric care users. 


Bogdanka Čabak, prim.dr., graduated from Belgrade's Medical Faculty and the Academy of Fine Arts. She worked at the Health Center in Belgrade until 2020. She has been involved in numerous programs of psychosocial support for vulnerable populations: people with physical disabilities, the Roma population, people at risk of HIV infection and those living with HIV, as well as people with mental health challenges. 

She has worked as a lecturer and completed several pieces of training in the mentioned fields, as well as speaking at seminars within the community and in medical and educational institutions. Furthermore, as a form of psychosocial support and help, she managed and led art workshops in the Home for Permanent Accommodation of Persons with Physical Disabilities (2001-2007) and in the Institute for Mental Health in Belgrade (2005-2019), in Prostor working since 2020.

Home for Adults Turnić - Croatia

Drama practitioners


Alenka Vondra Butigan has a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. She is the head of the department that provides housing services, psychosocial support, and other social services in the community. Since 2013, she has been employed at the Home for Adults Turnić, participating in the Home's Transformation Team and working directly with service users. She designs, organises, and delivers activities that create new opportunities for empowerment, inclusion and recovery. 

In addition, she publishes literature to support independent living, organises Mentalfest (a mental health festival) and facilitates several peer support groups. She also hosts the radio show 'Who is crazy here', the Living Library, and Domosong (a singing competition). Since 2015, she has been co-leading drama workshops that use stage art and sensory integration to aid in the recovery of those who hear voices and have other unusual sensory experiences.  


Andrej Škedel was born on March 4, 1984 in Rijeka. At an early age, he discovered an affinity for theatre and illusionism. He has been actively engaged in it for over 20 years, with over 5,000 performances in front of live audiences and on popular television programs. In addition, he is also a director, screenwriter and performer. 

He joined the Home for Adults Turnić team as a volunteer, but he quickly connected with the users. Since then, he has been active in the planning and design of the drama, which uses theatre knowledge to assist the recovery process for users. 

Association Tavan - Bosnia and Herzegovina

Literature practitioners


Mediha Kovačević-Jovanović is the co-founder of the Association Tavan, a psychologist and a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist under supervision. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in psychology. She has accumulated  over nine years of valuable experience in non-governmental organisations, addressing various psychosocial challenges. Complementing her formal education, she has undergone training in peer support, the Hearing Voices approach, and workshops in Open Dialogue. Beyond her organisational role, Mediha provides individual counselling, contributing her expertise to the broader spectrum of mental well-being.


Zlatan Jovanović is also co-founder and the current president of the Association Tavan. He graduated in psychology and political science and completed a master's degree in psychology. He is in his final year of a master's degree in comparative literature and training to become an integrative psychotherapist. He has extensive research experience and currently is an associate for learning and development. He is the author of numerous literary, journalistic and scientific works and the editor of several publications. He integrates all his diverse experiences and knowledge to contribute to Tavan's demanding and dynamic work, where he currently facilitates the Literary peer support group.
